House by the sea in Puglia, Italy.
This house was build around 1960 and renovated by Jenny Meirens and her favourite architect Luc Maes around the year 2003. After Mr Meirens passed away the kitchen needed to be updated and reorganised so that it would be more convenient to eat inside the house for a larger group during the colder seasons. I decided to make a kitchen combining the brutalistic aspects of the house with natural oak furniture and inox and white elements. Needles to say that the materials, furniture and kitchens of Charlotte Perriand were of great inspiration. White details as in the tap and cooking plate together with the Tobia Scarpa wall lamps make this holiday house even more Italian. In the other parts of the house one can find vintage Italian and Scandinavian lamps i selected on markets here and there. The kitchen and dining room became one and even have a chill out sofa-bench to enhance conviviality. This holiday house is for rent, please contact sophie15@gmail.com for rent
